Mothers play a vital role in our society. Beyond nurturing and raising their children, they contribute immensely to shaping the future of our communities. The Government of Sikkim’s flagship programme, the AAMA Sashaktikaran Yojana, is a significant initiative aimed at strengthening mothers financially and advancing women’s empowerment across the State.

Under the able stewardship of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), the Government of Sikkim has been providing financial assistance to mothers every year. Continuing this commitment, the Government will once again extend financial assistance as a mark of gratitude and respect to our mothers on the occasion of AAMA Samman Diwas 2026, to be held at Rangpo Ground on 10 August 2026.

Under the guidance and advice of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang (Golay), the State Bank of Sikkim is pleased to announce the “Best AAMA Account Holders” Awards for the financial year 2025–26. The awards have been instituted to recognise and encourage mothers who have demonstrated exemplary financial discipline and effectively managed their AAMA Savings Accounts. The three best-performing AAMA Account holders from each district will receive the following cash prizes:
